Changes to Eastern Distributor Tunnel Closures

Updated information about scheduled tunnel closures throughout 2009 is detailed below:

Tunnel closures are undertaken throughout the year to conduct essential maintenance on the Eastern Distributor. Closing the tunnels ensures maintenance crews to able to complete their work safely and efficiently.
To minimise traffic impacts, tunnel closures generally take place from 9.30pm until the early hours of the next morning.
Please note this schedule may change for operational reasons. Motorists are advised to take notice of variable message signs on the motorway which provide advance notice of tunnel closures.
